Bethesda Softworks has opened the official Web site for Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, its upcoming first-person horror game for the PC and Xbox. The site includes game information, concept art, downloadable wallpaper, and discussion forums. Curious gamers can also read a brief section on H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos, the source material on which the game is based. Dark Corners of the Earth was named one of GameSpot's top PC games of E3 2003. Aside from the action, adventure, and puzzle-solving elements that are a staple of the horror genre, the title also includes a sanity system, where players will experience hallucinations, panic attacks, and other fear-related disorders.
