Crytek's bounty hunter action/shooter game Hunt: Showdown, which is set in the year 1895, is becoming a live-action series. The show will be available on Binge, the upcoming American streaming platform that is also producing TV shows based on Ubisoft's Driver and the System Shock franchise.

Allan Ungar and Vince Talenti are producing the series for Binge, with Avni Yerli, Faruk Yerli, and Pascal Tonecker contributing as executive producers.

"We have always known that Hunt: Showdown would look great as a live-action series," Crytek's Avni Yerli said. "The world is dark, gritty, and immersive, and there is so much potential for many great stories to be told. We can't wait to see what the team at Binge can create."

Talenti added: "Hunt: Showdown is a heart-pumping survival game with incredible lore that’s ripe for a live-action series adaptation. We're excited to drop viewers deep into the bayou and have them come face to face with monsters and hunters alike."

As for Ungar, he said Hunt: Showdown has a "bold and unique world," and Binge is excited to work with Crytek on this project and others. Ungar teased that this could be the "first of many collaborations with Crytek."

More details on the Hunt: Showdown series will be announced later. In addition to its shows based on Hunt: Showdown, Driver, and System Shock, Binge is working with El Rubius for a new show called Rubius Checkpoint.

Binge was announced during E3 2021. It will focus on producing streaming video content specifically for gamers. The company is aiming to do it "in a way that respects the fans and the games that inspire them," Bingie says. Binge is scheduled to launch in 2022.

Binge has a feature called Squad Parties which allows users to watch together and earn rewards for doing so. You can sign up for updates on Binge's website here.
