Crytek has released the CryEngine mod SDK for its PC shooter Far Cry. The SDK consists of exporters, plug-ins, and source codes for Far Cry and is available on GameSpot DLX. Users will now be able to add their own models and animations to the game, creating total conversion mods instead of just new maps with the game's included Sandbox editor. The 27MB download includes fully documented instructions for the toolkit. To coincide with the release, Crytek also launched an official modding Web site for Far Cry and all future games on July 30.
