Bam Entertainment has today released a few new gameplay details on Crushed Baseball 2004, the over-the-top baseball game that was announced back in October. The game's cast will include one female player for each team and 10 different mascots, who, it's been revealed today, will also be playable--as illustrated by our exclusive screenshots of a pitcher that bears more than a passing resemblance to an orca.

Another unique feature of Crushed Baseball 2004 is the superhuman "mojo" abilities that will allow players to temporarily power up their characters so that they can, for example, throw a pitch that slices right through the hitter's bat or even hit a ground ball that lodges itself in the field so that fielders can't pick it up. Bam has announced today that there will be a total of around 30 different mojo abilities in the game and that these will include over-the-wall catches, trick pitches, speed bursts, and spectacular out-of-the-park home runs, among other things.

Crushed Baseball 2004 is currently scheduled for release in March 2003. For more information, check out our previous coverage of the GameCube , GameCube , and GameCube versions of the game.
