Crunchyroll has released a new trailer for The God of High School, an upcoming Crunchyroll Original series. The trailer introduces the voice actors for the main cast of characters--it's embedded below.

Coming in Summer 2020, The God of High School is an anime adaptation of the South Korean webtoon of the same name. The series follows a group of high school students who each decide to participate in an intense fighting tournament to accomplish a personal goal.

As seen in the trailer, protagonist Jin Mori is a high school taekwondo master who joins the tournament after suffering the first loss in his life--now motivated to seek greater challenges and improve himself. In the tournament, he befriends and ultimately teams up with Yoo Mira (a powerful swords-woman seeking a man who's worthy of marrying her) and Han Daewi (a defensive specialist looking to earn enough money to pay the hospital bills for his friend that's been diagnosed with a terminal disease).

Crunchyroll Originals are a lot like Netflix Originals--they're TV series and movies exclusives that have been produced by the streaming service. The God of High School is a part of Crunchyroll's first wave of Original series, following on the heels of Winter 2020's In/Spectre and Spring 2020's Tower of God.
