Competitors step into the ring for Shadowloo Showdown 2012

Melbourne fighting games tournament kicks off tomorrow morning; GameSpot AU to stream live all of the action.

This weekend, world-class virtual fighters, including Justin Wong, will descend on Melbourne to compete in Shadowloo Showdown 2012.

The tournament kicks off at 10 a.m., with nine championships being contended. The range of games played will include Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Street Fighter X Tekken, Virtua Fighter V, and King of Fighters XIII.

If you live in Melbourne and plan to head along, spectator entry is free, while on-site registration for competitors will cost A$60. In addition to the tournaments, there will also be machines set up for exhibition matches and social play.

If you don't live in Melbourne, but would like to see all of the action from Shadowloo Showdown 2012, GameSpot AU will be offering a live video stream over the weekend.
