Starting this week on a somber note. This week a gaming giant left us for a more peaceful place. Former President of Nintendo Hiroshi Yamauchi passed away this week at the age of 85.

After years of production gamers of all sorts are celebrating Grand Theft Auto V's milestone of reaching more than $1 billion in global sales in just three days of being on the market, which is faster than any entertainment property in history. But it hasn't been all sunshine and rainbow's, many of you are still probably familiar with the response that was heard site wide as Carolyn Petit gave the game a 9/10 (a near perfect score) yet was still met with a resounding level of backlash. In non GTAV related news (since that seems to be anyone can talk about. However for those of you wishing to delve into a more meaty debate when it comes to violent games, the recent article about the role of video games in mass shootings by an Ohio State professor suggests that people should stop looking for one clear answer because. well there isn't one.

It is apparent that something needs to happen in the community, specifically the way the comments and forum posts are handled. Since the rules change in 2011 things have been a type of roller coaster. That time is coming to an end.
