The full trailer for Coming 2 America has been released. The sequel to the hit 1988 comedy Coming To America will be released on Amazon Prime Video next month.

The movie stars Eddie Murphy as Akeem, the prince of the fictional African nation of Zamunda. Akeem discovers that he has a son named Lavelle he never knew about living in New York, so returns with his trusted trusted friend Semmi to bring him back. This new trailer reveals that a lot more of the movie will be set in Zamunda than the first film, as Lavelle and his mom try to fit in with the crazy lifestyle that Akeem leads there. There's also some very funny scenes featuring Wesley Snipes as a general who wants to overthrow Akeem and his father Jaffe. Check the trailer out below.

Coming 2 America hits Prime Video on March 5, having been delayed from a theatrical release in December. The movie also stars Arsenio Hall as Semmi, Jermaine Fowler as Lavelle, and James Earl Jones as Jaffe, plus Tracy Morgan, Leslie Jones, and KiKi Layne. It's helmed by Craig Brewer, who previously directed Murphy in 2019's acclaimed Dolomite Is My Name.

In an interview with Collider, Brewer spoke about returning to this story, 30 years after the original movie was released. "What I hope people will like when they see Coming 2 America is that it's 30 years after that fairytale ended," he said. "Not ended, but the fairytale of Coming to America we saw. That we saw a young couple come together in a fairytale. Well, now they're parents. Now they're dealing with what happens when you're 30 years later. To have the alchemy of what's happening in the audience, where I am bringing my teenage children to see Coming 2 America,. when I was their age when I saw Coming to America--the same thing that's happening in the audience is happening on the screen. It's really refreshing to see."
