The future of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise on the big screen might be uncertain following the failure of the most recent movie, but fans have got the animated show Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to look forward to. The first trailer has been revealed at San Diego Comic-Con.

The show premieres on Nickelodeon in September, and from this first trailer it looks like it's set to be a wild, fast-moving show with an arresting visual style. It's good to hear the classic theme song back in there too. Check it out above.

Now Playing: Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Official Comic-Con Trailer | SDCC 2018

Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles features an impressive voice cast. It stars Omar Miller (Ballers) as Raphael, Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) as Leonardo, Josh Brener (Silicon Valley) as Donatello, Brandon Mychal Smith (You’re the Worst) as Michelangelo, and Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) as April O'Neil.

The supporting cast is even more eclectic. Expect appearances from John Cena as the evil Baron Draxum, Game of Thrones' Lena Heady as the giant spider mutant Big Mama, and most bizarrely of all, legendary Sex Pistols singer John Lydon as a mutant pig named Meat Sweats.

A preview of the first episode of Rise Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to screen on Nickelodeon today, July 20, at 9:30 pm ET/PT. The whole season starts on September 17.
