Microsoft has launched a new official Web site for Combat Flight Simulator 3, its upcoming World War II air combat game. The new site contains a general description of the game's features and improvements on the previous games in the series, a list of the aircraft included in the game, and short introductions to the pilots featured in the game. It also has a gallery of screenshots, a video trailer, a downloadable wallpaper image, and a group of nose art images that will appear in the game.

Combat Flight Simulator 3 is set in Europe during World War II, and it will let players undertake missions that involve both high-altitude dogfights and low-altitude bombing runs. It will improve upon the previous games in the series with a new graphics engine, an enhanced multiplayer mode, and new role-playing elements. The game will feature a number of different aircraft from the US Army Air Force, the RAF, and the Luftwaffe, including some early jet fighters from the end of the war.

Combat Flight Simulator 3 is scheduled for release this fall. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game and visit the new official Web site.
