Novalogic today announced Comanche 4, the next game in its popular helicopter simulation series. The game is based on the Boeing-Sikorsky RAH-66, the US Army's advanced armed reconnaissance helicopter. In the game, players will fly the helicopter in a series of new missions, including reconnaissance, ground attack, and air-to-air combat scenarios. The missions will be set in a variety of locations, such as urban areas, tropical islands, scorching deserts, and dense jungles. The focus of the game will be on action rather than technical flying so that players will be able to focus on combat.

Comanche 4 will feature a full 3D cockpit, realistic rotor wash effects, and an arsenal of weapons, including 20mm cannons, 70 mm rockets, air-to-air and heat-seeking AIM-9 Stinger missiles, and laser-guided AGM-114 Hellfire missiles. The game will also feature online multiplayer support for up to 32 players.

Comanche 4 is scheduled for release near the end of the year.
