While details of Call of Duty Season 4 haven't been officially revealed by Activision, a new report suggests that a new Warzone 2 map called Vondel is arriving with the big update.

In a series of tweets from CharlieIntel, the outlet reports that Season 4 is arriving on June 14, with sources claiming the update will include the new Warzone 2 map Vondel, which is apparently set in the Netherlands and is developed by Beenox. Additionally, the claim suggests that this map will have a Resurgence respawn mode to start, and Vondel is reportedly also getting DMZ support at some point.

While this report doesn't include anything specific about this map, Modern Warfare 2 does partially take place in the Netherlands, which speculates that Vondel could be based on Vondelpark, which is the largest park in Amsterdam. The 120-acre park features plenty of open grassy areas, water, large statues, and facilities, with plenty of surrounding houses and hotels, so this could potentially work as a small map for battle royale and DMZ.

The claims of this Vondel map are also supported by Call of Duty leakers known as Task Force Leakers 141, who tweeted the data-mined placeholder images for Vondel. The data-miners suggest the placeholders show Vondel as being used for Warzone 2, as well as a potential Ground War variant for multiplayer.

Currently, Warzone 2 has Al Mazrah as the main map, with Season 2 adding the smaller Ashika Island Resurgence map as a secondary option. A third map wouldn't be completely outlandish, as Warzone 1 did include a variety of playlists across Caldera, Rebirth Island, and Fortune's Keep. However, nothing is confirmed for the update until Activision releases the official Season 4 roadmap details.

In other Warzone 2 news, the battle royale recently added the Ranked Play competitive mode, which lets players play like the pros and compete for rewards on a competitive ladder. For DMZ, Season 3 Reloaded added the new Koschei Complex exclusion zone.
