Now Playing: What You Need To Know - Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer

In terms of general PC options, Modern Warfare II has a "Quick Settings" menu, new for this year's game, with access to up to 15 options that players can access in and out of matches. Options like master volume, stick sensitivity, mouse sensitivity, and brightness are saved in Quick Settings--in past games, they would have been found in different menus. Players can hover over any of the additional options to save it to Quick Settings.

Modern Warfare II on PC also has a search function. Players can press F to bring up search (no, this does not pay respects, but Activision did reference that meme in its blog post) and then seek what they are looking for in terms of settings.

Additionally, players can tweak things like automatic sprint and automatic mantle, while walk speed can be adjusted as well. Keybinds are available in Modern Warfare II as well.

In terms of display options, players can use V-Sync and custom framerate limits to help prevent instability. There are also quality options for things like shadows and spot shadow resolution. Players can also adjust texture resolution, and Activision said there is a "massive difference" in VRAM usage between medium and high. For players with a low-end PC, Activision said it recommends dropping it down from high to medium.

Modern Warfare II multiplayer on PC also has a field-of-view slider that players can set to their own personal preference. In terms of audio settings, players can turn subtitles on or off and and choose to auto-connect audio when matches start or choose to mute yourself when connecting. There is also a hit marker sound effect option that can be changed to "Classic" to provide some "serious nostalgia," Activision said.
