Phillip Graves is back from the grave in the new trailer for Season 5.

Comments

Activision revealed the Season 5 trailer for Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare 2, which includes the return of Phillip Graves from the Modern Warfare 2 campaign. There are also a few teases of what to expect in this final season of content.

The Season 5 trailer says, "Darkness falls, shadows rise," and the theme is centered around a head-to-head battle between Task Force 141 and Shadow Company. Philip Graves, who was a secondary antagonist and presumed dead at the end of the campaign, looks to be very much alive and retaking his command of Shadow Company.

Some of the fighting in the trailer takes place on a nighttime version of Warzone's Vondel map, so it's possible a night map is coming to battle royale, or a portion of Vondel could be used as a nighttime multiplayer map. The last season of Call of Duty games usually features some sort of Halloween-themed event, so maybe Vondel will be getting a little spooky by the end of Season 5.

Additionally, there's also a tease of Strike, which is a classic multiplayer map originally introduced in 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

This new season arrives August 2, and here is everything we know so far about Season 5 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone. Rumors are already swirling around this year's upcoming Call of Duty game, so here we highlight all the leaks and rumors around Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
