CoD: Modern Warfare 3 And Warzone - How To Unlock The HRM-9 SMG

The Season 1 Reloaded update is live in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, bringing a new crossover with The Boys, Ranked Play mode for multiplayer, and more. This midseason update also includes the new HRM-9 submachine gun. Here we'll guide you through all the ways to unlock this new submachine gun.

How to unlock the HRM-9

The HRM-9 is described as a 9mm submachine gun that boasts a "high fire rate and excellent handling and mobility." This weapon is included as part of a bonus challenge sector in the Season 1 battle pass, which includes a series of four challenges needed to be completed to unlock the HRM-9.

The challenges can be completed in multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone.

Sector challenge 1: Reward - JAK Thunder LMG aftermarket part

• Get 10 kills while aiming down sights with SMGs (MP or Warzone)
• Get 10 special zombies kills while aiming down sights with SMGs (Zombies)

Sector challenge 2: Reward - JAK BFB aftermarket part

• Get 10 hip fire kills with SMGs (MP or Warzone)
• Get 10 special zombies hip fire kills with SMGs (Zombies)

Sector challenge 3: Reward - Cranium Cracked emblem

• Get 10 operator headshots with SMGs (MP or Warzone)
• Get 10 special zombies critical kills with SMGs (Zombies)

Sector challenge 4: Reward - 30-minute double XP battle pass token

• Get 10 operator kills in Tac-Stance with SMGs (MP or Warzone)
• Get 10 special zombies in Tac-Stance with SMGs (Zombies)

The HRM-9 is automatically unlocked once all four sector challenges are complete. For Zombies mode challenges, the special zombies are the enemy types such as Mimics, Manglers, and Disciples.

Additional Zombies unlock method

The HRM-9 can also be unlocked through a successful exfil in MW3's Zombies mode. If a friend has this new weapon already, just have them set the HRM-9 as their insured weapon and invite them to play with you. They can drop the gun for you to pick up at the start of the match, and then you just need to successfully exfil with the weapon. You might even get lucky and loot an enemy player who has this weapon equipped. This Zombies unlock method works for any weapon in the game.
