Climax's LA studio bulks up
Brit developer will relocate US operations to larger space and hire additional staff.
Boasting of a stellar 2004, Britain-based game developer Climax today laid claim to growing its US-based operation in two ways: by moving into a new, 16,000-square-foot studio and hiring an additional 80 staffers. In a statement today, Climax CEO Karl Jeffery heralded the coming year as one that would solidify the development studios standing. "The decision to expand reiterates our determination to turn Climax into a major force in the video game industry," Jeffery said. The US division, based in Santa Monica, CA, released its first game just last month, Tron 2.0 Killer App for the Xbox.
