While recent on-screens portrayals of Batman--from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to The Killing Joke--have been dark and moody, DC's upcoming animated film Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders will showcase a more lighthearted Dark Knight. The movie features some of the cast from the classic '60s TV show and arrives first as a digital release in October. A teaser has been released--watch it here, via EW.

Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders features Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin, with Julie Newmar reprising her role as Catwoman. As the teaser reveals, other classic Batman villains will include the Joker, Riddler, and Penguin.

The original Batman show ran for three seasons between 1966 and 1968, and clocked up no fewer than 122 episodes. West has reprised his role in a number of animated DC shows in the intervening years, such as The New Adventures of Batman in 1977 and Super Friends in 1984.

Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders hits digital HD on October 11, with the Blu-ray following on November 1.
