2K Games has not been stingy with its postrelease support for Sid Meier's Civilization V, having updated the original game with seven additional nations with which players can rule the world. Those who haven't been able to keep up with all of those releases will soon have an additional option, as 2K Games today announced Civilization V: Game of the Year Edition.

Due out September 27 for the PC, Civilization V: GOTYE cobbles together the original game with six of the seven add-on nations that have been released as downloadable content. Specifically, gamers will find the Mongol, Babylonian, Spanish, Incan, Polynesian, and Danish civilization and scenario packs. However, 2K Games is holding back the Korean army, which was released on August 11.

Civilization V: GOTYE also includes the Explorer's Map Pack and Cradle of Civilization Map Packs, as well as a digital copy of the game's soundtrack. The expanded package will carry a $50 price tag.
