Civilization Series Reaches 31 Million Units Shipped
That's up 10 million in one year.
The entire Civilization strategy series from Firaxis Games has now reached 31 million copies shipped.
Parent publisher Take-Two Interactive announced the new shipment milestone today during a post-earnings financial call.
It's up substantially from the 21 million franchise figure announced in April 2014.
The most recent Civilization game is last year's Civilization: Beyond Earth. The game's first expansion, Rising Tide, will launch in October, introducing aquatic gameplay and more.

Take-Two also announced today that Grand Theft Auto V alone has now shipped 54 million copies worldwide.
