So many failed video game movies and so many more to come... When will they learn their formula isn't working and to stop ruining ideas? Heck have Gamespot members come up with a story and direct one?

The gap between "acquired the rights to" and "headed for the big screen" ranges anywhere from a year to a million light years to an eternal DukeNukemForever vaporware state. Say like Interplay having the rights to a Fallout MMO, for whatever that's worth. " 'Next big superhero franchise' " is another overstatement, and seems a bit too ambitious for the City of Heroes world. It couldn't possibly compete with SpiderMan (bigger celebrity than Jesus) or XMen in terms of mass brandname recognition. It does have a lot of potential and some great characters though, I'll grant it that. And even for comic book characters they've got more style and substance than nelfs, Thrall the orc king (OMG paradox!), and belfs paladins from space, but that's not saying much. GameSpot update the CoH/V pages with at least a mention of Issue 9 plzkthxbaik

The only problem I find with this is that, if they're going to make a City of Heroes/City of Villains movie, they need to base it off The Freedom Phalanx and the Arachnos, no other plot would work if they didn't focus on them. And to be completely honest even as a 1-year player of this game that this movie is going to be really complex, and I will not be surprised if this one doesn't make more then 13 million dollars in the box office opening weekend. Also, if they're going to make a TV Show, I'm sorry but "Heroes" is already taken. We have "Who wants to be a Superhero?" and "Heroes" so why add another show about Superheroes? Is this the next fad next to penguin movies?! We will have to watch and see as this tale unfolds.

Every day that goes by, another video game that shouldn't be made a movie is announced. I'm just glad a lot of them don't/won't actually end up seeing the light of day. I'm sorry but there are way better games to make movies out of then crappy MMOs...and SIMS???SIMS!!!!!!!!!!!
