Chvrches Talks Death Stranding 2, Is Ready To Return If Kojima Calls

"If the call comes in to do more then of course, we'll be there in a second."

Scottish music trio Chvrches has responded to rumors claiming that it's producing new tracks for Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2, after the group appeared on the developer's Brain Structure podcast in January.

"There's nothing formal yet. We’ve talked [and] we've hinted heavily at each other that we would both like to collaborate again," Chvrches synth player Martin Doherty said to NME. "There's sort of a dance going on right now. I don't want to be rejected by all out saying, 'Can we be on the game please?' and [Kojima] says no. But I don’t know. We're continuing to build a really special relationship with Hideo. And I think we get him and I think he gets us. If the call comes in to do more then of course, we'll be there in a second."

Now Playing: Death Stranding 2 Ultimate Trailer Breakdown and Wild Speculations

Chvrches featured prominently in the original soundtrack for Death Stranding, as the band produced the title track for the game. Other bands featured in the soundtrack included Major Lazer and The SLP. Death Stranding 2 was officially revealed at The Game Awards in December and will see the return of Norman Reedus, Lea Seydoux, and Troy Baker alongside several new faces.

Actress Elle Fanning has said that the sequel is using new technology to create improved visuals, and for fans of cinema, you can ignore that a Death Stranding film adaptation from Kojima Productions and Barbarian's Hammerstone Studios has been announced.
