The Xbox Live Marketplace is proving to be more than just a spot to download Jessica Simpson videos or the latest Entourage trailer. It's also a place where developers can add postrelease tweaks to games that may have hit a few bumps.

The latest title to get an update is Sega's Chromehounds. A new mandatory patch is now available over Xbox Live and will be automatically downloaded the next time the game is played while connected to Xbox Live.

The patch fixes problems relating to the game connecting to the online servers and will improve performance in pre- and postgame lobbies. The "negative funds" issue has also been fixed, but Sega warns that those who remained affected by the bug will need to stay updated on the game's Technical Support board to find a fix for the problem.

For a full list of fixes and changes, head over to the Chromehounds Patch notes on the official Chromehounds Web site. For more information on the game, read GameSpot's review.
