After the success of The Tomorrow War, actor Chris Pratt's next project with Amazon is the TV series The Terminal List, a conspiracy-themed thriller based on Jack Carr's novel series. Now it's been reported that actor Jai Courtney (Suicide Squad) will play a "key recurring role" alongside Pratt on the show, according to Deadline.

More specifically, Courtney will play Steven Horne, a billionaire whose "hubris and influence are equally threatening, and will put him squarely in the crosshairs" of Pratt's character, former Navy SEAL James Reece.

Antoine Fuqua, who directed the Oscar-winning Denzel Washington movie Training Day, is directing The Terminal List for Amazon. It's written by David DiGilio (Eight Below, Traveler), and is adapted by Carr's novel series. Taylor Kitsch (John Carter, True Detective) also stars on the show.

The Terminal List, and Carr's other books, are based in part on his own experiences as a Navy SEAL. He spent 20 years in the American military, deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan as a trained sniper.

The production crew for The Terminal List TV show will have military veterans and their families consult on the project, including the writing. Half of the writers are veterans or are related to veterans.

The Terminal List is Pratt's first role on TV since Parks and Recreation. There is no word yet as to when The Terminal List will premiere, though production is already underway, as images and videos have leaked from the set. In other news, there is talk about a sequel to The Tomorrow War after the first movie proved to be a big hit.
