Chivalry 2 Coming To PS5 And Xbox Series X With Cross-Play

Check out the new trailer featuring bloody medieval warfare.

Chivalry 2 is catapulting onto Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, and PC with every version of the game featuring cross-play, including play between next-generation and current-generation systems.

"The epic medieval battles in Chivalry 2 deserve an equally massive player-base," said Torn Banner president Steve Piggott in a press release. "We can't wait for gamers across the world on all five platforms to clash steel and experience the greatest melee combat system ever, together."

The game was originally revealed at E3 2019 and will feature up to 64 players battling it out in this bloody medieval combat game. The game features improved combat systems and new subclasses, giving players more customization options, and it includes a free-form combo system to make for more realistic melee attacks. The game also features new massive siege weapons to help simulate a large-scale battle, and you can continue fighting after losing limbs or being disarmed.

Likely because it's also coming to the current-gen consoles, Chivalry 2 is being created with Unreal Engine 4 instead of Unreal Engine 5. We'll likely see the PS5 using the engine live during the reveal event.

The multiplayer medieval combat game releases in 2020 for all of the listed platforms, with the PC version being available exclusively on the Epic Games Store. You can sign up for the closed Alpha on PC here.
