Check Out This New Destiny: The Taken King Story Trailer
Become Legend... again.
Today, Bungie released a new trailer for Destiny's upcoming expansion, The Taken King. This video focuses on the game's story, including the expansion's main boss, Oryx.
Although the trailer doesn't show off much new gameplay, it gives a good look at Oryx and the enemies you'll face in The Taken King. In the expansion's story, Oryx is invading the solar system and bringing an army of Taken to fight against you. He seeks vengeance for the death of his son, Crota, in Destiny's first expansion, The Dark Below. You can watch the new expansion below.

What's notable as well is that this video shows off some parts of the expansion's cinematic cutscenes. Each of the last two expansions only had one introductory cinematic. In this new video, however, there are clearly several different cutscenes shown. It looks like there are going to be some epic, set-piece moments in The Taken King, as well. One moment in the trailer captures a massive battle between fleets of ships in space.
The Taken King launches on September 15, and it comes with a lot of changes to the game. For example, Bungie has hired voice actor Nolan North to completely redo the lines for the in-game Ghost Companion. In addition, weapons will be rebalanced, levels won't be linked to Light anymore, and quests are being overhauled. You can also read our impressions of the first story mission in The Taken King here.
