Check Out the Poster for Horror Master Del Toro's New Movie

Guillermo Del Toro's upcoming period horror film Crimson Peak is due in October, and ahead of its release, distributors Universal and Legendary Pictures have unveiled a striking new international poster.

The film is Del Toro's first since 2013's sci-fi blockbuster Pacific Rim, and stars Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, and Mia Wasikowska. It's the story of an aspiring writer who confronts the ghosts of her past in a crumbling mountaintop mansion after she marries a mysterious nobleman. Most recently, Del Toro was involved in the development of the Silent Hills video game for Kojima Productions, a project that was cancelled back in April. Del Toro has subsequently stated that he is still talking to Hideo Kojima about potential future game projects.

Crimson Peak hits cinemas on October 16.
