Atlus today revealed a number of new details about the latest continuation of the Persona 4 storyline, Persona 4: Dancing All Night, including the contents of a special edition and a release window for North America.

Dancing All Night will be out for PlayStation Vita (and PS TV) in the United States and Canada this fall in two forms. There's the Launch Edition, priced at $50, and an $80 Disco Fever edition.

The latter consists of a two-CD soundtrack, a Persona 4-themed Vita pouch, two premium DLC outfit packs (including a bonus song), a Teddie keychain, and a collectible box (with custom disco ball art) that houses all of this.

Buying the Disco Fever edition or preordering the standard edition (referred to as the Launch Edition) will also get you the Cover Band bonus. This consists of an exclusive decal skin for the Vita (the more recent Slim model), as well as 10 Vita wallpapers designed to match the decal.

Dancing All Night eschews the RPG format of Persona 4 in favor of--as the title suggests--that of a music game. Much like the Persona 4 Arena fighting game spinoffs, Dancing All Night remains a story-driven game. It features both new music and returning tracks from the past Persona 4 games.

You can check out Atlus' full description of the Disco Fever edition below, as well as some new screenshots of the game in action.

  • Two Discs Chock Full of Persona 4 Music Remixes: Hear the Persona 4: Dancing All Night soundtrack in all its glory! The two-disc CD set is full of original classics including "Pursuing My True Self," and "Shadow World," new song arrangements including "Heartbeat, Heartbreak" and "Your Affection," remixes by artists including Lotus Juice, TK, and Yuu Miyake, and completely new songs specifically composed for P4D!
  • Last Night a Vita Pouch Saved My Life: Protect your PS Vita in this custom P4D enameled pouch with a full color P4D design featuring Teddie in all his Elvis-esque jumpsuit glory on one side, and an embossed version of the P4D logo on the reverse. Not for sale in North America, the "Disco Fever" edition is the only way to get the exquisitely detailed pouch.
  • Costume Change: Two sets of paid DLC outfits will come with the "Disco Fever" Edition for free -- Persona 3's Gekkoukan High School uniform set, and the summer break outfit set to dress up Chie, Kanji, Rise, Naoto, and the rest of the human (sorry, Teddie) Investigation Team! The song "Never More" is also included as a bonus playable song.
  • All About that Bear: Never lose your keys or whatever else again with a golden Teddie keychain. Exclusive to North America, the gold (not real gold, of course) keychain comes embossed in the visage of all of Teddie's gloriousness, based on the belt buckle design on his P4D jumpsuit!
  • The Whole Package: All the items will come in a large collectible box with custom disco ball art (based on the Japanese Crazy Value Pack version of P4D).

Game looks charming. Shame it's on a semi-dead platform like the vita.

What, no one is going to b!tch about the Day one dlc? Looks like Persona gets a pass...

They messed by not labeling this the collector's edition. It could have been P4DAN:CE

Thanks, Atlus......I really wanted a rhythm game that somehow ties into Persona 4 for reasons...

At least I get to see Naoto in a swimsuit......because that was a necessity......oh grand...

Avatar image for deactivated-58bd60b980002

@DanielL5583: Well we already ahd the chance to see her almost naked in the open bath scene in P4G and in different cloths in the ultimate ending

Too bad this game is going to be released after Sony declared the Vita clinically dead in the west a few days ago. Damn Sony, you've marketed your portables so bad...

Do want!

As much as I love Persona 4 and its characters I really hope this is the last spin off; I do hope for another Arena, but now with Persona 5 characters as the lead group.

Since I love rhythm games this one will probably be in my wish list even if I didn't know anything about persona 4.

Wow that's a lot of stuff.

@7tizz: Go back to Knack, the animu world has no need for you.

Persona 4 is my least fav Persona and it's horribly milked at this point, I'll pass Atlus and Sony.

Persona 3 > 4

Avatar image for Cyberjin

@davem1992: it's the same with Persona 3 lol

Avatar image for davem1992

@Cyberjin@davem1992: How so?

Avatar image for Cyberjin

@davem1992@Cyberjin: amount of release of course

Games, Manga, Anime, Radio Drama etc.

Avatar image for davem1992

@Cyberjin@davem1992: P3 has a movie, games, short manga and a radio drama.

P4 has the base game, a remake, a fighter, a dancing game, 2 animes, radio dramas, mangas

Avatar image for Cyberjin

@davem1992@Cyberjin: yea if you add it up how many project they have = Persona 3 takes the cake

Persona 4 Arena shouldn't be consider a Persona 4 game => Has Persona 3 charcters and plot

Avatar image for davem1992

@Cyberjin@davem1992: yet it's more focused on P4.

Avatar image for Cyberjin

@davem1992@Cyberjin: because it more popular than P3 ;)

regardless both are getting milked, look at Persona Q, being my point.

Avatar image for davem1992

@Cyberjin@davem1992: Shame cause P3 destroys P4.

Avatar image for freedom01

since I really enjoy rhythm games and the Persona musics, this is on my must have list

Avatar image for crxuchilbara

You can't deny the rhythm

Avatar image for deactivated-5a34018f5f9ca

What a disappointment. We could have had Persona 3 Platinum on vita instead.

Avatar image for Thanatos2k

@acharis_frost: It's been released multiple times already, get over it.

Avatar image for bacontophat45

@Thanatos2k@acharis_frost: Persona 3? Sort of... the FES version only really exits because DLC isn't a thing on PS2 and personally, I don't count P3P, it was a ungodly butcher of the original. A proper upgraded version like golden would be nice. Maybe on PS4?

Avatar image for Thanatos2k

@bacontophat45@Thanatos2k@acharis_frost: "I don't count P3P, it was a ungodly butcher of the original"

Roll eyes.

Avatar image for davem1992

@acharis_frost: I agree.
