Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild--Creating A Champion aims to give fans a deeper insight into the creation of the fan-favorite Zelda game, compiling every last element of production from concept art to final render, including the content released as DLC after the game's initial launch. It showcases over 50 pages of original illustration work by series illustrator Takumi Wada, over 200 pages of design art and commentary from the game's designers, and a 55 page history of Hyrule that dives deep into the lore that supports Breath of the Wild's massive open world.

As GameSpot's 2017 Game Of The Year, Breath of the Wild has kickstarted a new chapter in the Legend of Zelda franchise, innovating and revolutionizing a beloved classic for a modern era by creating a beautiful, immersive experience that may be a year old, but still has plenty of secrets to uncover and love. We offered some of the highlights in our end-of-the-year roundup, explaining "When immersed in the world after time spent exploring and battling enemies, "empty" scenes are markedly tranquil. So much effort is put into making you feel like a piece of a larger-than-life world, one that, like our own, is beyond total comprehension, that a simple scene like cresting a grassy hill to catch the sunrise just as a flock of herons takes flight is enough to make you take pause and appreciate the gravity and beauty of the world around you."

Set for release on November 20 with a retail price of $40, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild--Creating A Champion is the perfect holiday pick for both the art fans and Zelda fanatics in your life, and a modern companion to Dark Horse and Nintendo's 2013 Hyrule Historia, which outlined the pre-Breath of the Wild history and lore of Link's timeless journey.
