New footage has emerged of Linkle, the female Link, doing her thing in the Wii U version of Hyrule Warriors.

Originally announced for the upcoming 3DS version of the game, Hyrule Warriors Legends, Linkle will also be playable in the Wii U original. To date, we've largely seen Linkle in action in Legends, but Destructoid has highlighted a video showcasing her in the Wii U game, which you can check out above.

Unlike Link, who typically uses a sword, Linkle instead wields crossbows as her primary weapon. These can be shot extremely rapidly, though she can still get up close and personal for some melee action. She also has an ability that allows her to summon a giant bomb that devastates enemies.

Legends was released for 3DS today in Japan. Purchasing it entitles you to certain content in the Wii U game, such as Linkle and Skull Kid (who you can see in action below). Legends is due out in North America and Europe on March 25.
