Watch those clouds fly by.

The beta test for Bungie's upcoming shooter Destiny ended on Sunday, and we were able to meaningfully explore and play the game during the week it was live. Although fighting the Fallen and Hive was fun and collecting loot was rewarding, many players (myself included) were struck by the art of the game.

The stylish worlds were complemented by beautiful skyboxes, which, it turns out, aren't static. YouTube user AK87Berlin walked around the accessible worlds in the Destiny beta and just sat there for several minutes. The user then compiled the footage and made a time-lapse of the skies in Destiny. You can see the billowing clouds, spinning planets, and rays of sunlight in the video above.

Destiny launches on September 9 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. Hopefully, the other environments beyond Earth will bring other interesting and beautiful landscapes and skies. But we'll have to wait for the main game to further explore the Moon, Mars, and Venus. You can check out some of our other hopes and questions for the main game here. Recently, Bungie also stated that the beta was a "tremendous success" and provided a lot of information for the developer going forward.

If you played it, what was your favorite part of the beta? Let us know in the comments!
