Championship Manager 5 dated for consoles

Soccer manager sim scores on the Xbox and PS2 May 13; game will be developed by Gusto Games, not Sports Interactive.

Eidos today announced the European release date for Championship Manager 5 on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Already released on the PC, CM5 will reach consoles May 13.

The game is being developed by UK-based Gusto Games, marking the second time a Championship Manager game hasn't been developed by London developer Sports Interactive. The PC version of Championship Manager 5, released in October of last year, was developed by Beautiful Game Studios.

Eidos and SI parted ways in 2003, and Eidos won the right to keep the Championship Manager name. Sports Interactive now develops sports management games for Sega.
