The Witcher series developer CD Projekt Red is teasing a reveal with a countdown timer on the official Witcher website.

The timer is positioned next to a The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt logo, and accompanied by options to share the feature on various social media platforms. Users are able to download a file of "Goodies," which contains wallpapers and music from the game.

The website reveals no additional details, leading to speculation as to what CD Projekt Red will announce when the timer ends in one day and 16 hours.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was announced by CD Projekt Red in February this year. The game is scheduled for release by the end of 2014 on PC and next-gen platforms including the PlayStation 4, marking the first time a Witcher game has been released on a Sony console.

The Xbox One version will feature SmartGlass support for inventory management and "character development." CD Projekt Red has yet to disclose any PS4-specific features.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunter will be the final Witcher game. CD Projekt Red is also developing Cyberpunk 2077, a new role-playing game set in a "dark future," where advanced technologies have become "both the salvation and the curse of humanity."
