Cat Quest: Pirates Of The Purribean Gives You Your Own Ship To Sail The Ocean

Announced during the PlayStation Showcase, the next game in the Cat Quest series, Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean, was revealed. The cute cat-themed action game will arrive on PS4 and PS5 in 2024.

Detailed in a PlayStation Blog post, this Cat Quest entry is pirate-themed because the developers wanted to create a fully explorable world, with players traversing by both land and sea. Players will have their own ship, which they can use to travel across oceans and quickly anchor at new islands.

In the PlayStation Blog, the developer also revealed a new addition to combat, the new weapon-swapping mechanic, which allows you to swap weapons on the fly to create a variety of combo attacks. This even works with your ship, allowing you to start a combo using a ship cannon, before transitioning onto land to use a new weapon like the Blunderpuss, the cat version of a pirate's blunderbuss.

Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean sets sail onto PS4 and PS5 in 2024.
