This one is mostly geared towards Japan.

Capcom Japan has launched a 25th anniversary website for the Resident Evil franchise. The site is Halloween-themed as it's filled with pumpkin icons indicating new announcements throughout the rest of October.

There are two announcements kicking off the celebration, the first of which is a social media campaign on Twitter. From today, October 15 to November 12, Capcom is soliciting posts from Resident Evil fans for Halloween. The posts can be anything from cosplays, illustrations, or favorite memories. In order to participate, you must follow the official Japanese Resident Evil Twitter account, and tweet using the hashtags #BioHalloween and whichever category the it falls under: #Cosplay, #Memories, or #Illustration

The lottery prizes given out for this campaign are pretty great, too. They include a Sony 4K Organic EL TV, a 128GB Oculus Quest 2 headset, a Republic of Gamers Delta S headset, as well as some merchandise. For the Oculus Quest 2 prize, in particular, there will be a total of three given out. Two of the winners will be chosen at random from those who tweeted during the campaign for all three categories.

As for the third headset, it works a little differently. From the top 10 people who received the most retweets from the posts of each category, one person will be chosen at random to win it.

The second announcement is one that we already know about, which is Resident Evil 4 VR's release date on Oculus Quest 2 on October 21. There will be seven additional announcements coming this October. Three of them will be revealed on the 21st, two on the 22nd, and one each on the 25th and 29th.

So far, there isn't an English version of this website, but hopefully, these upcoming announcements will involve global Resident Evil fans as well. In related news, Resident Evil 7 has recently passed 10M copies hipped.
