The coronavirus (COVID19) pandemic continues to cause major disruption across the entertainment industry, with yet more movies shifting their release dates from the spring and summer months. The latest big release to be delayed is the horror reboot Candyman.

As reported by Variety, Candyman was set to hit theaters on June 12, but will now arrive on September 25. The film is taking the slot previously assigned to another MGM movie, the romantic drama Praise This, which no longer has a release date. Candyman will arrive a few weeks after another major horror film, A Quiet Place: Part II, which was pushed from March to September 4.
