Now Playing: GS News Update: Call of Duty WW2 Gameplay Revealed

The first details about Call of Duty: WWII's multiplayer have been revealed, including a social space that sounds similar to Destiny's Tower.

We got a few pieces of information about multiplayer alongside a new trailer and single-player details. One brand-new addition for the franchise is Headquarters, a place to socialize that will feature "recognition and awards." It's not clear what exactly those rewards will be, but it sounds like a base of operations outside of multiplayer lobbies.

Multiplayer introduces a new War Mode, which places you in "iconic World War II battles" with objective-focused, Axis-versus-Allies team gameplay. It also lets you choose class-like Divisions, "including Infantry and Armored Divisions."

A full multiplayer reveal is scheduled for E3 in June, where it will also be playable on the show floor.

Call of Duty: WWII is launching on November 3 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Do you even know how much time i spent at the tower kicking that soccer ball....

Made for people to teabag the players they killed in a previous lobby..

I'm interested in the new War mode;

But it needs to be a proper 50 or 64 player mode. It can't be a cheap Battlefield 1 knock-off mode with none of the depth.

Really liking the new additions. Excited to get back into CoD.

So this feature is supposed to sell me on MP? No thanks.

The last thing we need are a bunch of immature adults and teens talking nonsense, if voice chat is enabled pre-match.

Look at the myriad of Battle Royale games/mods where it's completely toxic to listen to...

Now the real question is, do I give it a try?

Probably limited to 8-16 players. Such "social" space.

@silversix_: Yeah, but ... sick dance emotes.

Avatar image for silversix_

@Mogan: Quality gameplay. But lol you say this, and know damn well it'll be the same mess in Destiny 2.

Avatar image for Mogan

@silversix_: Oh there'll be all kinds of dancing in Destiny 2. For sure. But it's not a mess, its just something stupid you don't buy and never think about. Or maybe you do; it's your money.

Avatar image for silversix_

@Mogan: Even if you ignore it and never bother. You will still find a bunch of people spamming emotes (mainly referring to dumbass dudebro emotes that were added to Destiny and already present in CoD) that don't make any sense and don't fit the theme of the game. Ruins mah immersion, its stupid.

Destiny was better with default *normal* emotes. When dudebro dances and taunts were added, it became CoD with space magic.

Can't expect anything better when Activision is in charge...

@silversix_: The Tower is a public space, even if there were no dances of any kind, people would still be running and jumping on people, standing inside them, climbing on top of whatever they could, all that stuff folks do in an online public game area. If your "immersion" can't handle that then this game isn't for you. But it's like complaining that a giant suit of armor and great sword dropping as loot from the little bat creature you just killed in Diablo wrecks your immersion. You're taking the game more seriously than it takes itself.

"When dudebro dances and taunts were added, it became CoD with space magic."
Well, then it would make sense they've added a social space to a CoD game, wouldn't it?

@Mogan: Agreed ! Some people take things way too seriously .. I like Games that don't .. I have the real world to be serious and immerse myself in .. Sometimes when I game I just want to switch off and blast away !

@silversix_: And no text chat just like in Destiny, only voice chat with your team mates.

Avatar image for SprSynJn

@Atzenkiller: The best kind, I assure you.

Avatar image for silversix_

@Atzenkiller: Laughable.

heres to hoping they drastically changed the multiplayer class formula. Maybe like COD3 but expanded upon greatly.

Hmm, well that sounds pretty interesting. Looking forward to seeing it in action.
