Call Of Duty: Warzone Season 4: Everything New In Battle Royale

Season 4 of Call of Duty: Warzone has arrived, and here's everything you need to know about it.

Call of Duty: Warzone, the free-to-play battle royale shooter, is introducing some new content for Season 4. New ways to play are coming--including a mode that features only two large-scale teams and a Realism option for a more hardcore experience--along with some additions that will shake up how the game works. Here's everything that has been introduced to Warzone with this new season for all players, even those without the Battle Pass that introduces Captain Price as a playable operator.

Rumble

First up is a new mode. Warzone's new Rumble mode is a 50 v. 50 playlist, and will take place over a reduced section of the map. Victory isn't dependent on your individual or squad success--think of it as Team Deathmatch on a major scale, but with one life each. It's a unique new way to play.

Juggernaut Royale

Another new mode, called Juggernaut Royale, has also been introduced. In this mode, three care packages will be dropped into the map featuring the Juggernaut suit, which is usually a high-value killstreak reward. Grab it for high armor and a minigun, and you'll also no longer take fall damage--in fact, when you fall you'll do damage to nearby opponents. In this mode, if a Juggernaut-suited player is sent to the Gulag, another care package will be dropped onto the map for players to fight over.

Realism

A Realism mode is being added too, and it works a lot like the equivalent mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Realism cuts your HUD back to the essentials, and greatly increases headshot damage, meaning that even a heavily-armored player can be taken down by a skilled sharpshooter with a less powerful load-out.

New Events

Also introduced in this season is a trio of potential gameplay twists that can hit without warning. These events are called Jailbreak, Fire Sale, and Supply Chopper, and we've detailed them here. The short version--Jailbreak releases everyone currently in the Gulag back into the map, Fire Sale drastically reduces the cost of all items on sale by 80% for one minute, and Supply Chopper is a high-armored chopper that appears over the map and can be shot down to acquire high-tier loot. All three events can happen without warning, and will significantly shake the game up.

New Weapons

New weapons are being added to the game via blueprints, too. Although the press release we were send did not go into detail, it says that these new weapons will potentially encourage players to switch up their approach to the game.
