Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare DLC Roadmap: Here's The Next Content On The Way

Plus, keep track of CoD bugs, updates, and more with a dedicated Trello board.

The next round of DLC coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has marked a significant shift from past CoD games, as Activision has opted to give away major playable content, like new maps, to all players. That makes any upcoming content of interest available to all players, and fortunately we now have a better idea of what's coming and when, as Infinity Ward has released a roadmap of its plans for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This includes details on upcoming changes. A new update is actually out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, although there have been issues with stats being reset. To help fans track the changes more easily, the developers have also released a simplified schedule for updates, along with an easy-to-access public document for changes.

In a community update, Infinity Ward says some planned changes include a Gunfight 3v3 mode, the return of the Gunfight tournament, and more loadouts. It also promises more 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X Tier events as well. Aside from those added features and improvements, the developer is also working on several fixes. Those include lighting flickering, mission collision on the Cargo map, platinum skins not unlocking, Ground War out of map exploits, and camos glare.

It's a lot to keep track of, so Infinity Ward has also opened a public Trello board that lists current projects, known issues, and helpful links. IW states this is definitely not everything it is working on at any given time, but should give fans a good overview of issues. It has also committed certain days of the week to various update types:

  • Tuesday – Playlist updates
  • Thursday – Developer diary and/or behind the scenes blog
  • Friday – Community Update blog

Modern Warfare has already broken records, and Infinity Ward has been keeping it going with a steady stream of content updates. Activision is also using the game to help raise money for Australian bushfire relief.

Yeah but they are still selling early access to new content to the highest bidder are they not? Their deal with Sony was renewed for another year if I remember correctly. How does that fit into this? Unless it starts when the latest deal runs out?

Can they port over a few more maps, and have better cycling for maps.

Because the map list is meh to okay. With the Euphrates Bridge being to sniper heavy. being just a giant sniper fight. I mean I can handle myself with a sniper just fine. But, it becomes pointless to use anything else on that map.

Also, the, Aniyah Palace is WAAAAAAAAAAY too big. I have been playing CoD multiplayer since MW1. And I don't think I have ever been on a map that big before. 10v10. It feels almost like a battlefield map. I mean you get the ATVs. But still, It feels a little too big.

Lastly, can we get Pipeline, Countdown, and Wet work? Those were 3 of my 5 favorite maps in the original ModernWarfare. And, it would really improve the map list.

I'm really enjoying the game but goddamn they need to fix the stuttering in the menus and the start of rounds. Its painful to go through each time.

@nintendians: Given the size of those maps, that sounds like a great way to die every 15-20 steps on average.

@rawkstar007: since playing those maps on 6v6, it feels boring on domination, hardly any action when i play on my younger bro. account.

@rawkstar007: only if you team is bunch of noobs, if balanced - i last at least 1 or 2 minutes and get at least 4 to 5 kills just like i do in call of duty 4 and it's remastered also mw2 on 9v9 aka it's ground war before mw2019 came out.

@rawkstar007: If you're bad. Better than moving 60+ steps trying to find someone.
