Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 trailer debuts

Huh, they saw Crysis 2 and Battlefield 3 both doing New York so they had to do it too? See? A proof to yall fanboys that COD didn't get all those ideas first!

@vivalabuck92 I need to go back to school? ROFL. You do understand concepts like nuclear deterrence and the arms race right? Why do you think Iran/ South Korea want nuclear weapons so bad? Why do you think the Cold War never turned into an all-out conflict? Invading a country with a nuclear arsenal is a risk most countries would be unwilling to take unless the whole arsenal could be disabled first. Which is why WW3 between Russia and the US is probably the most ridiculous premise ever. Thinking a country would hold back "for the good of mankind" in that sort of situation is exactly the kind of naive mentality Activision hopes you have, so they can cram this convoluted, unrealistic *&*^ down your throat. The real global political landscape doesn't work this way, and it's why this has never happened and why no one would survive if it did. But it's a video game, so suspend disbelief and all that jazz.

Fingers crossed that this time the campaign will last more than just a few brief hours.

Mundane Warfare 3. :P I just made that up... :| To be honest it looks good so far. But I'm only going to buy this if the campaign is long this game's multiplayer just isn't my type. I really like the stories to the previous games so I hope this one is good and long...

On topic, the trailer looked well done. Only thing I'd truly want out of the game is a longer campaign.

The reason its not a nuclear wastleland is because all participants in a war know that it just takes one nuke to destroy the world. In laymen's terms: they fire missle, we all fire missle, and then we all screwed. Its called massive retaliation.

Sink the Bb Kodick for his treason/dirty schemes/etc. For real now, the game looks as fast as BO, just hope the missions are not as short (probably shorter considering that the cow has been milked for so long). This year Battlefield 3 will have to compete with MW3. Everybody will have already purchased Resistance3, and Gears3. Uncharted3 will compete with these as well (I mean in sales, not in genre of course). Finally- the game graphs don't look updated! will have to wait and see later on.

Well it's like this peeps. Call of duty is a money making ip. Millions of us love it. I believe that battlefield 3 looks better than mondern warfare 3. That really has nothing to do with sales though. I wish battlefield the best of luck. The real war is between the two games. Battlefield has more to offer. That might actually hurt them. Cod has a great formula. I am excited over both games. I know what to expect from COD. Battlefield is a blank slate for me. I love videogames!

@Cg-sniperx starts with c rhymes with ity-interactive you cant jsut make a game and throw whoever you want into a game clearly identify who they are and who they belong to without their permission and the permission of folks theyve given permission to already.. its called licensce infringement and its a very serious crime.. the UFC was misrepresented in UFC: unleashed so they sued the pants of the developer & publisher.. it doesnt matter if the FFL arent actually french they cant be in a game with all substance and 0 permission.. this is a very risky move and if any of that goes down it means activision faces a really bad court fight they will probably loose.. i unlike many folks happen to enjoy the concept of a foreign military task force like the FFL and believe firmly that their in good hands now.. putting them in somewhere else is a damn crime...

There better be a demo, and no multiplayer fee for rentals. I'm checking this time before I buy (hype deceives) and I'm going to be very picky b/c they screwed up the last time w/ people modding, unbalanced combat, attachments are the same for every gun, the SP missions are all run and gun, launchers that don't kill, over-powered mini tubers, and what else guys...help me out.

Honestly: eh. The action was pretty entertaining, but the visuals were definitely lacking a bit of oomph. No, I'm not that guy that bases everything off graphics; looks like they have a bit of touching up to do, which I'm sure will happen, but based on that trailer, it's just another CoD in a different setting. I want to see some major improvements; because I feel that even when we see the gameplay, it'll look much like a slightly updated MW2. Yes, give it time, but I know that just before Black Ops, even I managed to get a little pumped for it and then was incredibly disappointed because DUHHH it was just another CoD. You're lying to yourself if you say these guys aren't the ultimate franchise milkers, and have much to prove.

Waiting for that Wii Version Raven Software :) Looks great though.

I'm really excited for this game, but right now I have to say a that Battlefield 3 is better, but that's because I've seen gameplay for it. When I see gameplay, I'll make a full comparison. But I'm still excited for this game, and this was an awesome gameplay trailer!!!

Games are starting to look like movies...almost, but not quite. Anyway, the action is impressive, yet I felt the visuals (graphics, colors) were lacking beautifulness and it did not blow me away. And I am going to bring it up, that is BF3 gameplay snippets have been giving the gamers what they want to see, not some montage of cutscenes. Give it time, I know. It is important to compare because they're both going for the title, and it's fun to watch them go at it, and we get the best product in the end. I want to see MW3 gameplay first, then I can make a better comparison. I know for sure I don't want two shooters in my living room, and right now my money is on BF3, but this could change, I'll just wait to see gameplay of MW3.

Am I the only person who is bored of all these apocalyptic/modern war type FPS's, for gods sake where's the originality, give me Spyro or GTA any day over this money spinning crap.

Now the talent of IW has left lets' see what they can do with this OTT storyline. Not exactly original from MW 2, but let's just set these invasions in other Euro countries(or in Euro countries that will buy the game). Seriously hope their will be more variety to this game than the video shows.

I cant lie, this looks pretty good. Hopefully the multiplayer is more balanced then MW2.

UUUGGGHHH!!! I keep telling myself that I don't really want this, but the urge is so strong. MW2 is my favorite fps of all time, but I'm just afraid that MW3 won't be up to par with all the Infinity Ward business.

Perhaps by being set in every capital city of every country in the world they are just trying to one up the whole 'no russian' fiasco from last time and piss everybody off at once.

Lot's of similarities from mw2 which I like, boat driving, heli gunner, and some new differences, weapons look better and more detailed, plus one thing I always thought IW cod games did better than treyarch cod games, was the outfits/uniforms, much more deatiled, and nothing beats a bad-ass gas-mask. From the one shot, I'm wondering is S.A.S. will make a return

WW3 into MW3, these guys always bring new ideas to their game, Mostly unexpected. I'd love to know more about the game at this point, and I hope they don't milk these ideas into so many other trailers b4 they talk a little about the game.
