Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's single-player campaign will not feature the four-player co-op introduced in 2015's Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

During a recent livestream event, Activision confirmed co-op will be limited to Infinite Warfare's Zombies mode. As previously announced, Zombies mode will feature a new storyline and unique mechanics. Further information on this mode will be released "later this year."

Following numerous leaks, Activision officially announced Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on May 2, revealing key details about its story and gameplay, along with the debut of an action-packed trailer.

In Infinite Warfare's single-player campaign players take control of Captain Reyes, a Tier 1 Special Operations pilot that helms one of Earth's last remaining warships. Along with the series' core first-person shooting, developer Infinity Ward has introduced air and space combat as "a key aspect of the campaign."

"This year, we're both honoring the heritage of Call of Duty while taking players to incredible new heights," said Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg. "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is a bold, new vision from the studio that created the original Call of Duty and Modern Warfare, and an adventure on an insanely epic scale that only Call of Duty could deliver."

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's Legacy Edition will include a "true high-definition" remaster of 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The remaster is being executive produced by Infinity Ward and developed by Raven. More details on it can be found here.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is cheduled for release worldwide on November 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
