Champion Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton will be in Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Hamilton, who drives for team Mercedes, announced his appearance in the game on Twitter, but didn't say exactly what role he has in the game.

Based on the image attached to his Twitter post, it looks like he could be either a pilot, which makes sense given his profession, or an engineer of some sort. Take a look at the picture below.

"I grew up with Super Mario, where the graphics were outdated at the time," Hamilton said in an interview, as reported by Motorsport. "It's crazy to see how far it [computer games have come] - the realisation is unbelievable.

"I loved it," he said, discussing his involvement in the game. "It was a great experience, I am incredibly honoured to be part of this game. I've been a fan for years," he added.

Hamilton joins a number of other celebrities on Infinite Warfare's star-studded cast. On September 14 it was announced that UFC champion Conor McGregor would be in the game. Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow on HBO's hit series Game of Thrones, plays Infinite Warfare's antagonist, Admiral Salen Koch.

Infinite Warfare launches on November 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Infinite Warfare's first beta weekend was extended by a day after it got off to a rough start, wrapping up today instead of yesterday. The second beta begins on October 21 at 10 AM PT and runs until October 24 at the same time. Everyone on PlayStation 4 will have access to the upcoming second beta.
