Both weekends of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's multiplayer beta have now ended, with the second one wrapping up today, October 24. In a blog post, lead multiplayer designer Joe Cecot thanked fans for their feedback and said the final product stands to benefit.

"We got some excellent player insights into how to best optimize our new matchmaking system and how to balance our new weapons and equipment to create the best quality matches possible for launch," he said.

Cecot did not provide any specifics about how Infinite Warfare may change as a result of player data from the beta. However, he assured that Infinity Ward is taking steps to improve the game.

"Our open beta gave us the learning we need to make our launch as great as possible," he said. "We can't wait to apply what we've learned and show you more of our game as we update and develop it further with your input. Again, thank you from all of us at the studio. Now, let's reach new heights and continue the conversation through launch and beyond."

Infinite Warfare's first beta ran October 14-18 on PlayStation 4, while the second weekend's event took place October 21-24 on PS4 and Xbox One; the beta was not offered on PC.

The game launches next Friday, November 4, for all platforms.

Activision remastered Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but the only way to get it is to buy one of the premium versions of Infinite Warfare, which start at $80. People who preordered any of these on PS4 can play Modern Warfare Remastered's campaign right now.
