Call of Duty: Ghosts needs 6GB RAM and 50GB installation on PC

Maybe I'm just extra disgusted with everyone's marketing department today, but this seems like some new marketing ploy to force upgrades. As a PC gamer and Nvidia fan I gotta say I'm disappointed in these spec requirements. I can't see a CoD game looking good enough to justify having these sort of minimum requirements. My 660ti runs all current games like FarCry3 and Dishonored at ultra settings on 1920x1200 resolution.

50GB is huge for an install, but lets face it - harddrive space is rarely going to be a limiting factor on a gaming PC when 1/2/3 TB harddrives are so readily available.

I think this will be more of a decision for those without a fast internet connection to download it and have to order a physical copy instead.

It's 50gig because it's built on the code from the 10 previous COD games.

6GB RAM? 50GB HDD? GTX780? WTF?!?

50GB? That's one way to slow down piracy.

The requirements are very high because they need to be able to process the next gen AI so fish can move away from you when you get close to them

Max Payne 3 on the PC is around 35gb of HDD and that game looked and played very very well. I dont know why 50GB is needed. Its just linear maps with scripted events.

Asking for 6GB of RAM and a GTX550Ti minimum along with an Intel Core 2 Duo just doesnt sound right at all.

I call bullshit on this list. No CoD game would ask for that.

i think that activision saw the very performance unoptmized bf4 beta and decided to do the same, but on purpose,

so they can say the game looks good because it runs bad

Of course they will recommend nvidias flag ship card with a Cod game, because they know that most of the huge fan base doesn't know any better and a lot of the money is coming from mommy's and daddies, so If they can sell a couple video cards to people who don't know any better then why not? Of course I doesn't need that card to run on max.

Why is every game 50 gigs now? :/ and comparing this to killzone being 50 gigs is a huge difference, graphically lol

high requeriments, for low quality graphics, great.

If the game can justify such heavy spec requirement , I don't mind at all. But at the same time I am worried , I might need to build a new rig soon If this game is actually optimized properly.
