Call of Duty: Ghosts needs 6GB RAM and 50GB installation on PC

50GB? You've got to be crapping me... I just can't imagine what kind of assets this game has that would need 50GB! What, all the sound files are in full uncompressed WAV files? Are the videos also uncompressed? Hell, maybe even the textures lol!

I am SO GLAD 32bit OS's are now dead. Thank god! 3GB of ram is not enough now days.

Recommended requires a 780 on a COD game? really? Is it just me or are some of these recommended specs for next-gen games a bit ridiculous for the PC version? Or are they just making use of new hardware to the fullest?

GTX 780? Isn't that a bit too much? I mean, the GPU in both PS4 and XBONE isn't nowhere near a GTX 780. I know a PC version cannot be as optimized as the console one, but that's a bit too much. It should be running super fast and silky smooth on GTX 760 at most.

I like how it doesn't list the recommended specs aside from a 780, its fucking hilarious. so essentially they are saying you can run recommended at max settings with a Core 2 Duo paired with a 780? really...

anybody else look at those specs and find it a bit fishy? no pun intended. I mean a Core 2 Duo?. Seem like the CPU would be a bottleneck. I have an I7 and BF4 will utilize over 50% of that, probably well over. For some people the bf4 beta and been maxing out CPU usage on later model CPU's.

a core 2 duo was what I was running BF 2142 on back in like 2007.

The game hasn't seemed this breathtakingly beautiful so it makes it feel like the game isn't very well optimized. I know that MW3 runs at lower frames than many other games that look far better.

Battlefield 4 for instance looks far better and requires less to run it.

How much space are these enormous games going to take up on the consoles? Obviously it won't be 50GB if you're playing from disc, but those 500GB hard drives don't seem like they'll last too long.

HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER!!! 50GB??? That's crazy! I have no objection on the RAM (although will drain my system to full capacity) but the disk space is just crazy!!!!

Well, that's certainly a leap forward, but I doubt anyone accusing CoD of looking dated will change their mind just because the min. specs are higher. My laptop could have played CoD: Blops 2, but can't run this game if the specs are accurate. Not that I care, my backlog puts me at 2007, but it's interesting to see how even CoD is too much for my computer now.

Killzone shadow fall looks 50GBs, COD ghosts does not.

like i said a few days ago, these specs are to force you to upgrade.....nvidia does this with every big release......bet you can play on your current setups ....lol the minimum specs to play are max specs on other new games, i smell something fishy

Its probably just some antipiracy artificial bloat of filesize. WIll be cut away but modders in 2 hours after release to 1GB or less depending how crappy the game is this time

is it me or does it seem that everyday the "all digital future" gets further and further out of reach ha, i dont want a digital future ever. even if i had the means to easily dl 50 gb i want to know i own the copy not just the right to play it
