Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC, profiles will carry over to next-gen
Activision confirms gamers won't need to pay twice for expansions or re-level their characters for latest shooter if upgrading from current- to next-gen.
Call of Duty: Ghosts downloadable content and character profiles will carry over from current- to next-generation consoles, Activision announced today during its special presentation in Los Angeles.
There will not be an additional fee associated with the transfer of character profiles or downloadable content, Activision said.
The functionality is only supported within the same console family, meaning the offer stands from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, but not Xbox 360 to PlayStation 4 or some other variation.
Activision also announced today that Call of Duty: Ghosts will receive a DLC season pass that will include four expansion packs. No price was announced, though a similar pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops II is offered at $50.
Activision and Infinity Ward took the wraps of the multiplayer mode for Call of Duty: Ghosts today. It is described as the most significant overhaul of the game mode ever done since 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
