Call of Cthulhu up for grabs

UK-based Headfirst Productions has announced that it has terminated the publishing contract between itself and Ravensburger Interactive for Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, its upcoming first-person horror game based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft. The agreement was terminated due to breach of contract by Ravensburger, according to Headfirst's managing director, Mike Woodroffe. The game's development is continuing without interruption and is now scheduled for completion in early 2003. The developer plans to release more information once a new publisher for the game has been secured. All publishing inquiries should be directed to Mike Woodroffe at mike@headfirst.co.uk.

Headfirst has found a potential publisher for Deadlands, its upcoming Western-style role-playing game, but it is unable to release any more information until a publishing deal is finalized. Development of the studio's upcoming Battle of the Planets game is on hold while the company focuses its efforts on Call of Cthulhu and Deadlands.
