Cabela's survival game adventuring this November
Activision announces Alaska-set third-person shooter Shadows of Katmai, coming to Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii this fall.
In June, Activision announced Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2012, the latest in the publisher's longstanding hunting series. However, that won't be the only Cabela's outdoors game players can pick up this fall. Activision has announced Cabela's Survival: Shadows of Katmai for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii.
The game casts players as Logan James, a bush pilot who survives a crash landing in Katmai National Park in Alaska. Gamers have only firearms and gear and must survive the frozen wilderness by fending off predators and battling the elements. Shadows of Katmai will be the first Cabela's game to be controlled through a third-person perspective.
Shadows of Katmai will ship for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii on November 1, 2011. It will be available as a stand-alone game and also with the Top Shot Elite gun peripheral. Pricing was not announced.
