Starting next week, Paradise City is going to look a lot more like Sturgis. Developer Criterion Games today announced that its next free update for Burnout Paradise on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 is planned for release next Thursday, adding motorcycles to the game's distinctive formula of vehicular mayhem.

The appropriately titled Bikes Pack--formerly known as Davis--will include two motorcycles suitable for tooling around the city, along with the option of male or female riders. The bikes won't be the only new additions, as Criterion is also adding a motorcycle license progression, day-night cycles, changing weather, 70 new Freeburn challenges, and more.

Originally released in January, Burnout Paradise has been the recipient of a steady stream of free updates and upgrades from Criterion. The studio isn't done tweaking the game, either. Another update set for this fall will include an entirely new island for players to race around. Criterion developers have also blogged about adding big rigs and even planes to the Paradise City before they're done with the game.
