Bungie teaser marks July 14

Marathon FTW.

Bungie should try making a multiplatform thats not halo and completely new.

Halo 4. Covenant wipes out Mankind. Master Chief is awaken. Covenant died out. New enemies. :]

I hope it's not another Halo. I'm not saying Halo is bad (I've liked the series from the beginning), but Bungie needs to do something different for a change and THEN go back to Halo. A Marathon remake would be cool, but something tells me that it's not likely. Whatever Bungie makes, I'm sure It will be great.

Marathon Durandal remake would be freakin' awesome.

@ pantweasel you do know that halo and marathon are kinda intertwined right? lots of the halo universe was developed from that game. anyway I would be excited for one or the other OR like some people had been saying develop the halo story into marathon...that would different

@ Henninger what the hell are you on about?? halo 1 is one of the greatest games of all-time and this is coming from someone who is a huge playstation fan. and saying that., i would love if anything made by bungie came out on ps3. they are great devs

I have to say I'm a little Haloed out I'm looking for something new and fresh from Bungie. I wonder if Bungie will go multi-platform this time around?

i will only endorse a new halo game if it brings something entirely new to the table, i mean something that will make me go "WOW!"

As long as it's not an MMO I'll be satisfied. I can tolerate alot but MMO's cross the line.

Halo has this huge stigma attached to it - if you don't play, you're a heretic, if you do play you're an uber-fanboy. IMHO I felt that Halo 3 was meh. I think it would be cool if we saw a simple shooter-platformer with a lot less attitude and a lot more I-don't-know-what (because I ran out of adjectives). And they could do it because they're Bungie. And it would sell well. And there will be much rejoicing.

Halo is not overdone. Mario is overdone. Zelda is overdone. Halo won't be overdone until it stops getting 9.0+ scores, something unfortunately that cannot be said for Zelda =) flame away.

Something other than Halo. It's awesome and all, but it's just a little overdone. I don't like teases, regardless of what company it is :(

I'm a big halo fan, but I'm so sick of bungie teasing stuff. They're big deal will probably be another remade map that no one wants.

Don't care about Bungie not that great of a developer. Halo wasn't that great, Halo 2 was better but overrated, Halo 3 ain't nothin but Halo 2 HD thats not even full HD, & i don't even know what other games they've made so yea don't care & no im not a fanboy of any system (but if i had 2 choose i'd choose nintendo all day cuz thats wut i grew up on).

As much as i would like to see another Halo since the end of 3 showed a strange ending which left me hanging again. Bungie needs to pick up the Advent Rising series since the studio making it fell out.

YES! Anything new from Bungie is enough to get me excited, dudes!

i want the halo mp revamped, starting with taking cues from Cod4. the mp, after playing CoD4 for about 4 months, in halo is atrocious compared to infinity ward's masterpiece.

Hopefully some new content for Halo 3 also is going to be unveiled, like a new map pack perhaps. Or some cool new weapons would be nice to play around with.

could be Halo 4, could be a PS3 exclusive (hey, maybe sony pulled a M$ and paid for a exclusive). Well find out in a few more days. Even though E3 sucks now, it's still good for finding out what's coming.

Honestly, I hope they come up with a new franchise that is totally different than the stuff being put out there, and different from the stuff Bungie's made in the past. I'd like something original... no halo, marathon, or myst relations.

@MjolnirMaster51 i was thinking that since i read the books. the spartans fought in squads and acted like a team in the books it wasnt the heroics of the chief. a halo game like socom would be awsome.

If they are successful in something other than Halo, I think Bungie will go down in developer histroy like Epic Games or Blizzard.

I'm talking Halo Zero, a game that's at this stage just a rumor, but it sounds good to me. It's supposed to take place years before the events of Halo 1, before all but one spartan, that being John-117, or the Master Chief, were killed. It sound possible, but if it's real, they aren't going to release the game this early, it will only be a confirmation that it's not just a rumor. omg that is a great idea, no joke, id kinda like that, there is so much they could do if battles were fought on other planets or on an earth that is still populated and mostly intact. and now they have a chance to redo the graphics engine and show halo the way itz supposed to be seen, better graphics

@ Pwnage_Dragon: Remember, not all Spartan-II's were killed by the time of the games. There are a few still alive and fighting in the novels. In fact, the next novel to be released will be about Gray Team, ones that were supposedly lost and not heard from for years. What you said got me thinking that, if this next title is, like you say, a prequel to the Halo games, it could perhaps be a squad-based shooter. I know there are a lot of those out there, but Spartans are always of a team mindset, so I think something like this could work.

i want halo 4. i think its a little too early for that though. im more interested in seeing what Peter Jackson is up too..........

I'm kind of torn here... As cool as a new Halo would be, another new series would also be pretty sweet. Either way, it's Bungie, and I trust them.

Yup, Mjol, msoft does retain the rights of prod. the next game(s) from Bungie. Msoft does own Halo, so no other systems. Bungie is independent but still is beholden to MS. MS has the first right to produce the game with Bungie.

to gruff-182, im sorry but i dont think Halo is the best FPS ever. Halo 1 was my favourite out of the 3. 3 was a total crap for me and im even thinking about selling my copy. W.e Ill stick with my Gears of War and MGS.
