Bundle With PS4 VR, Camera, And 3 Games Heavily Discounted Right Now

Virtual reality on the cheap.

Although PlayStation VR has generally been the cheapest VR headset, its normal price still isn't cheap. At $400 for the headset alone (you also need a camera and motion controllers), it'll still set you back quite a bit. Right now, though, you can pick up a bundle of the headset, camera, and three PSVR games for just $300.

This is one of the better deals we've seen yet. The camera usually sells for $60, so even just between the headset and the camera, this bundle saves you $160. On top of that, you also get Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, RIGS, and PlayStation VR Worlds.

No Caption Provided

The bundle is available at Amazon right now with the code PSVRGAMES. Add the headset and camera bundle to your cart, enter the code, and the discount is applied at checkout. Amazon will then email you codes for the three games after you buy the bundle.

To use the headset, you'll also need a PS4, and many games also support PS Move controllers. The controllers can be found on Amazon for around $40 a piece.

I waited almost a year and picked mine up over the weekend with 5 games and I'm literally blown away by it. VR is definitely the way games should go but have my doubts due to the amount of content slowing. What was interesting is that the titles i expected to blow me away such as farpoint and eve valkyrie weren't the ones I've been going back to its the ones like battlezone and even the platformer in vr playroom that i was truly blown away by. The second theres a Mario 64 in VR is when it will hit mainstream.

I don't know where the **** you're getting that it comes with those 3 games because it doesn't say a word about it on the listing page and I never got any codes emailed to me when I bought this.

The Reason Sony is doing this is because the Oculus Rift is $399 right now and it Twice the performance of the PS4 VR offering. Be very surprised if Sony goes back to old price as long as Oculus Rift at $399.

I have had it since Feb, RE7 was amazing, but since then its just gathered dust. I wish more developers would invest in the VR for the PS4 because as RE7 proved for me when its done right its amazing.

@donjuancorleone: Blame those who keep chanting "its dead, its dead" putting fear into perspective buyers. VR isn't going anywhere, it will just be a slow start until it gets cheaper

I have mixed feelings. Skyrim VR is around the corner, but not out yet. Oculus would be better quality and the price drop is attractive, but apparently those with VR machines have them gathering dust, waiting for good games to arrive.

The Oculus is a way better deal if you're on the fence. PSVR is really blurry and not stereoscopic.

@jmartin1016: I'm calling BS on this statement.

The stereoscopic 3D is great.

As far as bluriness, some games are better than others, and the PS4 Pro helps the resolution greatly.

You're full of it.

@jmartin1016: hahahahahaha..... honestly i just made an account only to reply to you. i have tested all of the systems and i can only say that it's not true what are you saying. if it's blurry then you have to adjust the settings and if you don't see in stereoscopic, try looking with both eyes ;).

@darthrevenx: i'm sorry, i didn't want to offend anyone. i have seen that this guy has posted more than one posts saying that psvr is not in stereoscopic and blurry so i just wanted to point out that he is simply not saying the truth. i understand what you mean. have you tried out vr yet? i've read that even people with one eye can have fun with it.

PSVR impressed me much more than I thought it would and even got my 70yr old mum and dad so intrigued that they tried it and loved it. Just goes to show that if you can get people to use it, you can get anyone interested in the tech, and that's when things only get better and better for everyone in the future. It's amazing how even with Wii-quality graphics at times, things just look so much more real because of the depth. I couldn't recommend the experience enough to anyone. I will 100% buy a 2nd gen headset for my PC, should any ever appear.

@Daveof89: PSVR isn't worth the price since majority of the games are tech demos and they've just cancelled Final Fantasy XO VR. If you want proper triple AAA games that's VR compatible like Alien Isolation, Elite Dangerous etc Oculus Rift is worth the price. For Sony where are the first party Games that's VR only??? It's just another Vita that they rely on 3rd party, with no first party support

Seems like a lot of the VR tech is coming down in price lately. That's a good thing for consumers as well as those behind said hardware and development as it will give incentive for those out there who may have been either put off by the steep prices originally launched or those who think it is nothing more than a fad.

While right now may seem like the time to splurge for these latest gizmos (Gizmos, Ninja? Who says that?) I can't help but wonder how much further they will drop in price in another year from now.

@videogameninja: Chances are that in a year's time from now if people don't adopt then prices will drop exponentially due to support being dropped for VR. If people don't adopt then the tech dies and that would be such a shame as it really does deliver a truly immersive experience.

Still pretty expensive. My biggest issue is having room to set this up. You need to be so close to your console and that could be difficult for me.

@Legend_of_Link: Not that much room is needed. If you have about 1 meter space in any direction then that is sufficient. You need to be abut 3 meters away from the camera as well so you could set this up in a corner somewhere if you are struggling with space.
